| Bio: | I'm a 22-year-old chick who's been handed a bag of life and is still trying to figure out what's inside. I spend my time psychoanalyzing myself to the point of desperation, while searching for inspiration and beauty in the world around me. I were into labels and putting things in boxes, I would use words like 'hippy' 'bohemian' and 'contemplative' to identify myself. I would also use 'brooding' and 'temperamental'. Having grown up in the country, I'm still struggling to come to terms with urban life after almost six years. Every once in a while, I get sick of having so many people and noises around me, that I just want to punch the next drunk guy who shouts and stumbles in my direction. I try to be a good, decent person, but hey- we've all got our failings. I tend to float between pragmatism and a budding drinking problem. This journal is intended to be my outlet. This journal is also intended to be an ongoing time capsule of my life. It is also meant to be an exercise in writing more, more eloquently, and more often. I feel I have difficulty in communicating my thoughts to other people, and even to myself sometimes. Finally, I enjoy reading, all kinds of things. I love Russian literature and history, Russian everything. I've travelled a bit and would keep up the trend if I could afford it. I've had a paddle in my hand since I was six, and believe camping to be a form of religious worship. I am a complete foodie, and love nestling in my duvet. I also enjoy artsy movies and playing video games until the sun comes up. I made the conscious decision years ago not to get involved in World of Warcraft, because I would be one of those examples you hear talked about in hushed tones on the news. I have recently become very, very angry towards marketing firms and our ignorant, consumerist society that just buys into whatever they say. I am making a conscious attempt to ignore any sort of advertizing gimmick I encounter, and call things as I see them. | |
